let the zeros of the first polynomial be a,b
=> sum of zeros is, a+b=-p
=>product of zeros,ab=q

if the zeros of the firsf polynomial are a,b
=>the zeros of the second polynomial are 2a,2b
sum of zeros of the second polynomial
2a+2b=5/2
a+b=5/4
using value of a+b =-p
we get -p=5/4
p=-5/4

q=qAND

product is roots of the second equation

2a×2b=4ab=-3/2
=>ab=-3/8
=>q=-3/8

Hence the values of p and q are -5/4,-3/8 respectively
