Answer:

option d )  a = 0 and b = -6.

Step-by-step explanation:

given :

2 and -3 are the zeros of  P( x ) = x^{2}+(a+1)x+b

so,

P ( 2 ) = P ( -3 ) = 0

P ( 2 ) = 4+(a+1)2+b = 0

           2a + b=-6 --------------------------------------- ( 1 )

P ( -3 ) = 9+(a+1)(-3)+b = 0

           = 3a-b=6 ----------------------------------------( 2 )

solving equations 1 and 2, you get....

a = 0 and b = -6.

Thus you got the answer.

Hope it helps !
