sum of the zeroes = -b/a
a -b+a+a+b=-(-3)/1
3a=3
therefore,a equals 1

Here a is 1...since only by replacing x by 1 we get the eqn. equal to zero . I m not exactly sure but hope it's correct....by the way ...are the answers are given...then what's the answer..
