If there are 20 centromeres seen in anaphase, then there are 20 chromosomes in the dividing cell. Thus each pole of the dividing cell will receive 10 chromatids: each chromatid will now become a chromosome for daughter cell.

Answer:

if there are 20 centromeres it means there are 20 chromosome hence a total of 40 chromatids...at anaphase 20 20 chromatids move to opposite poles nd now we will call each chromatid as chromosome..so it means each daughter cell has 20chromatids=20chromosomes
