Concept:

The average income of each person= \frac{total income }{no. of members}

Given:

The total income of the family is ₹20,000

To find:

The average income of each person

Solution:

In this question, there's a family of 4 members, whose total family income is ₹20,000

We have to determine the income of each member of the family

So, we will divide the total income,20000, by the total number of members, that is, 4.

So, we get

\frac{total income }{no. of members} \\\frac{20000}{4} \\5000

We get 5000 on dividing 20000 by 4. Therefore, the average income of each member is ₹5000.

Hence, option 3 is the correct answer.
