Answer:

By living things, I am assuming that all unicellular as well as multicellular organisms. I am not counting plants and trees for now (despite they are living) so as to give a better picture.

It will be so quiet: Imagine a world after a nuclear holocaust, except none will be there to see it. Just blue sky, sun-rays, trees, soil, dust particles in air etc. All the homes will be empty and they will eventually corrode away by constant disturbance from nature. It will look something like this:

Explanation:

Polymers created by us will last for a few centuries or millennium. Polythenes being used today will last for probably next millennium. Different kinds of plastic can degrade at different times, but the average time for a plastic bottle to completely degrade is at least 450 years. It can even take some bottles 1000 years to biodegrade! That's a long time for even the smallest bottle. Some of the polymers are even conjectured to last forever.

All the dams and bridges built by us will eventually disintegrate and rivers will take their natural course of journey towards sea in due time. Of course, it won’t happen very soon and will take hundreds of years. The canals built by humans won’t last too which means Africa, Europe will get separated and so will North and South America.

All living organisms (their dead bodies of course) will slowly turn into petroleum in about million years.

If no natural planet destroying calamity occurs, then life will once again emerge from oceans (unicellular first).

Answer:

If living organisms did not have a definite life span and had the power to live forever then Earth would would be over flooded with living beings and life circle would either be damaged or it would not be stable.

hope it will help you
