1-tan^2 theta/1 + tan^2 theta​

theta = 30°

tan 30° = 1/√3

Then the expression will become

= (1-(1/√3)^2)/1+(1/√3)^2

= (1-(1/3))/(1+(1/3))

= (2/3)/(4/3)

= 2/4

= 1/2
