1 Jump = 3-2 = 1 cm

Distance required = 10 cm

on 7th Jump the data is,

7 cm covered

On 8th Jump data is

7 + 3 = 10

It needs 8 jumps to reach 10 cm

8 jumps are required to reach the pole.

As,

   3-2=1

   7th jump = 7 cm

so, he will go only 1cm upwards

but at 8th jump he will reach the top of pole
