If trapped in a building, birds try to fly out through windows. If the window
is shut they hit the glass and hurt themselves. Why do they hit the glass? ​

It's like the birds have little capacity to differentiate between objects what they see is what they do.... When they see the glass they are unable to predict that that is a glass not an open window , so in order to fly out they hit it(unknowingly)
