If triangle ABC is an isosceles triangle and angle B=90 degree then show that AC square=2AB square ​

Given : triangle ABC is an isosceles triangle and angle B=90°

To Find : show that AC²=2AB²

Solution:

ABC is an isosceles triangle and angle B=90°

=> AB  = BC

Using Pythagoras theorem

AC² = AB² + BC²

Substitute BC = AB

=> AC² = AB² + AB²

=> AC² =2AB²
