given:area triangle ABC =64 cm and and area PQR =120 cm
then:since both triangles are similar
so,64/121=(BC/QR)^2
64/121=(BC/15)^2
8/11=BC/15
BC=8×15/11=10.909cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that triangle ABC is similar to triangle PQR and areas of two similar triangle 64cm^2 and121cm^2 respectively.

Therefore, using the area similarity conduition, we have

\frac{arABC}{arPQR}=(\frac{BC}{QR})^{2}

\frac{64}{121}=(\frac{BC}{15})^{2}

\frac{8}{11}=\frac{BC}{15}

BC=\frac{8{\times}15}{11}

BC=10.909cm

Thus, the measure of the side BC is 10.909 cm.
