Supplementary angles mean that the sum of the 2 adjacent angles is 180 deg. It does not matter whether they are 90 deg each or one is acute and the other obtuse. Complementary angles mean that the sum of the 2 adjacent angles is 90 deg. Here both angles are acute.

This situation is not possible as acute angles are less than 90 and supplementary angles are 180 .
