Given:-

For First Body:-

  • Mass of body (m¹) = 2kg

  • Initial Velocity ( u¹ ) = 5m/s

For Second Body:-

  • Mass of the body ( m² ) = 3kg

  • Initial Velocity ( u² ) = 4m/s.

It is also given that After collision first body moves with the Velocity of 6m/s.

To Find:-

  • The velocity with which second body will move

According to Conservation of momentum,

m¹u¹ + m²u² = m¹v¹ + m²v²

2 × 5 + 3 × 4 = 2 × 6 + 3 × v²

10 + 12 = 12 + 3v²

22 = 12 + 3v²

12 - 22 = 3v²

-10 = 3v²

v² = -10/3

v² = -3.33m/s

Hence, The Body will move with the Velocity of 3.33m/s.
