Given :   Two circles of radii 3cm and 5 cm touch internally,

To Find : the distance between their centers

A) 2cm

B)8cm

C)34cm

D)16cm

Solution:

Draw two circle :

Circle with Radius 5 cm with center A

Circle with Radius 3 cm  with center B

Both circles Touching Each other at C

Radius AC =  5 cm

Radius BC =  3 cm

Distance between Radius = AB

AB = AC - BC

= 5 - 3

= 2

Hence the distance between their centers is 2 cm

Correct option is A) 2cm

Additional Info :

If Two circles touches externally then Distance between radius is Sum of their radii

If Two circles touches internally then Distance between radius is difference  between radii
