If two identical spheres having charge 16 micro coulomb and -8 micro coulomb are kept at certain distance apart,then the force is F.They are touched and again kept at the same distance ,the force becomes ? options:1)F 2)F/18 3)F/8 4)F/2. How to find that/ please explain me in detail!

Two identical sphere having charge 16μC and -8μC are kept at distance r apart .
Then, F = KQ₁Q₂/r² [ from Coulombs law]
F = K(16)(8)/r² [ attractive force due to opposite nature of charges ]
F = 128K/r² ---------(1)
Now , they are touched and again they are separated same distance.
we know, when two identical spheres having charge Q and q touch then charge will share on each sphere = (q + Q)/2 [ Include the sign of charges ]
Now, charge on each sphere = (16μC - 8μC)/2 = 4μC
Then, Force between them ,F' = KQ²/r²
F' = K(4)(4)/r² = 16K/r² ------(2)
Dividing equation (1) by (2)
F/F' = 128/16 = 8
F' = F/8 , hence option ( 3) is correct
