let the 2 interior angles be 2x and 3x

2x + 3x = 180 (adjacent interior angles are supplementary)

5x = 180

x = 180/5 = 36

2x = 72, 3x = 108

the smaller angles is 72 degrees

Answer:

the 2 interior angles on the same side of transversal are called co interior angles

let angle 1=2x°

angle 2=3x°

sum of co interior angles are 180°

=>2x+3x=180°

=>5x=180°

=>x=180/5°

=>x=36°

now the smaller angle is 2x=2×36=72°
