if two resistance of 2 ohm and 4 ohm are connected in parallel connection then the resistance, 1/Rp=1/2+1/4
1/Rp=(2+1)/4
1/Rp=3/4
Rp=4/3=1.34ohm.

Answer:

The equivalent resistance is 1.33Ω.

Explanation:

Given:

R_{1} = 2Ω

R_{2} = 4Ω

Here,

The first resistance is denoted by R_{1}.

The second resistance two is denoted by R_{2}.

The equivalent resistance of the resistances R_{1} and R_{2} is denoted by R_{eq}.

Now,

The resistances R_{1} and R_{2} are connected in parallel connection,

Then,

By the equation,

\frac{1}{R_{eq}}=\frac{1}{R_{1}} +\frac{1}{R_{2}}  \\\frac{1}{R_{eq}} =\frac{1}{2} +\frac{1}{4}

R_{eq} =  1.33Ω

So, if the two resistances 2Ω and 4Ω are connected in parallel connection then the equivalent resistance will be 1.33Ω.
