Antimatter is matter consisting of elementary particles which are antiparticles of those making up normal matters

Antimatter is almost the same as normal matter, just the difference is that all the constituent particles have opposite charges.

For eg. The anti particle of electron is called the positron. It has the same mass as an electron, just positive charge.

When a matter particle and an anti-matter particle collide, they annihilate each other, releasing gamma rays.
