by using the formula 1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2

we get the resistance 18/5 or 3.6

let the resultant resistance be Rp

Now,

1/Rp = 1/6 + 1/9

1/Rp = (3+2)/ 18

1/Rp = 5/18

Rp = 18/5

Rp = 3.6
