If two resistors having resistance of 16 ohm and 40 are connected in series and potential difference across them is 18 volt then calculate current flowing through the circuit.

resistance(r)= r1+r2

r= 16ohm+ 40 ohm

r= 56 ohm

potential difference (v) = 18 v

current (I) = v/r

= 18/56

= 0.321
