GIVEN :-

2 Sides of a Triangle = 8 Cm , 3 Cm.

TO FIND :-

Find the 3rd Side.

SOLUTION :-

If the Length of the 3rd Number be 'x'

3rd side is Between a and b

i.e b > x > a ..................( 1 )

But,

2 Sides of a Triangle are 8 Cm and 13 Cm.

Sum of any 2 Sides is Greater then 3rd Side.

Therefore,

8 + 13 > x

= 21 > x ....................( 2 )

Difference of any 2 Sides is Less than the 3rd Side.

Therefore,

13 - 8 < x

5 < x .....................( 3 )

From Equation 2 and 3

21 > x > 5 ...................( 4 )

From Equation 1 and 4

a = 21

b = 5
