When two straight lines are perpendicular to the same line then they are parallel.
We can say this because when they are perpendicular they form an angle of 90 degrees. By euclid's fifth postulate we can prove this.
The sum of interior angles on the same side will be perfectly 180degree and not more or less than 180.
Hence the two lines are parallel.
