let the common ratio be as x

2x and 7x

Now , 2x + 7x = 180° ...(since these angles are supplementary)

9x = 180°

x = 180°/ 9

x = 20°

hence, the measure of angle x is 20 degree

  • 2x = 2 × 20 = 40°
  • 7x = 7 × 20 = 140°

therefore , the angles are 40° and 140° respectively...
