Let the number be a

2/3 of number = 2a/3

3/5 of number = 3a/5

According to question,

2a/3 - 3a/5 = 7/4

=> (10a - 9a) /15 = 7 / 4

=> a/15 = 7 / 4

=> a = 105 / 4

Required number = 105 / 4

\textbf{Answer}

Suppose the required rational number is x

=> \textbf{Two third of x = (2/3)x}

=> \textbf{three fifth of x = (3/5)x}

\textbf{According to the question,}

\textbf{(2/3)x - (3/5)x = 7/4}

=> x(2/3 - 3/5) = 7/4

=> x(10 - 9)/15 = 7/4

=> x/15 = 7/4

=> x = (7×15)/4

=> x = 105/4

\textbf{Required fraction is 105/4}
