Here we have been given,

two three and four cuts are made parallel to different faces of a cube.

each time one more piece is added (if two cuts will be made then there will be basically 3 cubes obtained)

So, Total number of pieces obtained with X cuts in x axis, Y cuts in y axis and Z cuts in z axis =  (X+1)\times(Y+1)\times(Z+1)

Here X = 2     Y = 3 and    Z = 4

= (2+1)\times (3+1)\times(4+1)

= 3\times 4\times 5

= 60

Therefore 60 identical pieces is obtained.
