If two triangles are on the same base and between the same parallels then find the ratio between there surfaces.PLEASE ANSWER QUICKLY

It's not necessary that two triangles with the same base have the same area…

But their altitudes should be the same as well, for triangle to be with equal area.

=> two triangles on the same base between the same parallel lines are equal in area.

Like.. area of tri 1 = 1/2 * base1 * altitude1

area of tri 2 = 1/2 * base 2 * altitude 2

In the above, if base1 = base 2

Altitude 1 = Altitiude 2

Then area( tri 1) = area (tri 2)

According to the theorem both areas will be equal.

For instance the area id 10m².

So the ration can be 10:10 = 1:1
