Answer:

The distance between the two vehicles = 75kms

Step-by-step explanation:

To find:

The distance between them initially

Given data:

vehicle 1 speed = 60 km/hr

vehicle 2 speed = 90 km/hr

meeting time while travelling towards each other = 30 minutes

meeting time while travelling in same direction = 5 hours

Formula:

distance = speed × time

Solution:

In the given figure

vehicle 1 travels 60 kms/hr and so in 30 mins it travels = 30 kms

vehicle 2 travels 90 kms/hr and so in 30 mins it travels = 45 kms

therefore by adding both the kilometers we get 30kms + 45kms = 75 kms
