v = u+at

-u = -10
u = 10 m/s
Now,
Using 2nd equation of uniformly accelerated motion.
v² = u²+2as
0² = 10² + (2*-0.4*s)
-100 = -0.8s
s = -100/-0.8
s = 1000/8
s = 125 metres.
Distance covered will be 125 metres.
