Since plants can't move from place to place, they need other media to spread their seeds to continue their generation.

dispersal is scattering of seeds, away from the parent plant. it is needed for plants because if all seeds and fruits were to fall under the plant and grow, it would result in overcrowding and saplings would experience scarcity of nutrients, light, air and space. the plants would not be able to grow and most of them would die. to avoid this and ensure survival, seeds are dispersed.
