Given :   U = { x : x ∈ N  and x < 10 }

A = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 , 8 }

B = { 2 , 5 ,6  ,7 , 9 }

To Find :  n  (AUB')

Solution:

U = { x : x ∈ N  and x < 10 }

=> U = { 1 , 2 ,3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 }

B = { 2 , 5 ,6  ,7 , 9 }

=> B'  = { 1 , 3 , 4 , 8 }

A = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 , 8 }

B'  = { 1 , 3 , 4 , 8 }

=> AUB'   = { 1  , 2 , 3 , 4  , 5 , 8 }

n (AUB' )  = 6

None of the given option is correct

if Question is n ( (A U B)' )

Then A = { 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 , 8 } B = { 2 , 5 ,6  ,7 , 9 }

A U B =    { 1 , 2 , 3 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 }

(A U B)' = { 4 }

n ( (A U B)' ) = 1

Then option a) 1  is correct answer
