Given :

➝ Velocity of electron in first orbit of hydrogen atom = V

To Find :

➢ Velocity of electron in third orbit of Lithium (+3) atom.

SoluTion :

➠ Velocity of electron in nth orbit of hydrogen like species is given by

\bigstar\:\boxed{\bf{\gray{v=2.18\times 10^6\times \dfrac{Z}{n}}}}

◕ v denotes velocity

◕ Z denotes atomic number

◕ n denotes principle quantum number of orbit

➠ We can say that, Velocity of electron is directly proportional to the atomic number of element and inversely proportional to the principle quantum number of orbit.

፨ Atomic number of H (Z) = 1

፨ Atomic number of Li (Z') = 3

፨ No. of orbit of H (n) = 1

፨ No. of orbit of Li (n') = 3

⇒ V/V' = Z/n × n'/Z'

⇒ V/V' = 1/1 × 3/3

⇒ V/V' = 1 × 1

V' = V
