If water has moved from inside the cell to the outside,- a) Where is the concentration of water molecules high - inside/outside the cell b) What is this process called? c) What is the name of the medium surrounding the cell d) Will this movement of water occur if the cell was killed by boiling? why / why not?

a)Inside initially. After it has moved and stopped moving it will be in equilibrium.

b)Osmosis

c)Hypertonic

d)Yes, as osmosis is the movement of water from its higher concentration to lower concentration through a semi-permeable membrane till Equilibrium is achieved. e.g. Dries grapes known as raisins show osmosis when kept in water.
