Answer:

The cooling effect depends upon the shape and size of the container.

The water will cool faster in the container with large mouth. This effect is due to factors causing evaporation.

The hot water will surely evaporate.

Evaporation causes cooling effect.

Rate of evaporation gets increased by Surface Area.

So, Rate of evaporation will increase in the container with larger surface area of mouth. As rate of evaporation increases cooling effect also increases.

FOR EXAMPLE- Equal amount of Hot Water will cool faster in a bowl than a glass.
