if water on contact with the hot magma forms steam then it should escape into the atmosphere right then how is it in liquid state?​

Answer:

After getting in contact with magma water get evaporated( gets converted into steam) and magma turns in igneous rock.  into the atmosphere where the  temperature of water vapor decreases  it forms cloud with other water vapors and when it is cold enough to change its state again it precipitates that is fall on earth as rain. thats why it is in liquid state.
