let the numerator x and denominator be x' according to question we will add 1 to numerator and subtract 1 from denominator now the resulting fraction is x+1/x-1 now the fraction becomes 1 when denominator is multiplied by 1/2 ,i.e., x+1/1/2(x-1) =1
x+1 = 1/2 (x-1) =x+1= x-1/2 = x-1/2-x-1 now if we will take 2 as lcm then we will get
x-1-2x-2/2=0
=x-3 =0
x= 3 and the resulting fraction is 3+1 /3-1 =4/2=2/1
x+1 = 1/2 (x-1) =x+1= x-1/2 = x-1/2-x-1 now if we will take 2 as lcm then we will get
x-1-2x-2/2=0
=x-3 =0
x= 3 and the resulting fraction is 3+1 /3-1 =4/2=2/1
