At room temperature and pressure Mg3N2 is a greenish yellow powder. When magnesium isburned in air some of themagnesium also reacts withnitrogen in the air and somemagnesium nitride is also formed. ... Under ordinary temperatures and pressures, magnesium oxidedoes not react with nitrogen.
