if we double the distance bw two bodies , gravity bw them becomes one fourth and if we halve the distance bw two bodies gravity becomes four times. how and explain​

Thus, gravity is inversely proportional to d²(distance²).

so when distance is doubled(increased by 2 times), gravity decreases by 2²,i.e., 4 times.

and when the distance is halved(decreased by 2 times), gravity increases by 2²,i.e., 4 times.
