if we hold a coil of wire next to magnet no current will how in the coil what else is needed to induce a current,?

Basically, You need to have a Relative motion between coil and the magnet.
You can either move coil towards or away from the magnet or vice versa

This movement changes the flux associated with the coil and thus a current is induced.
