if we hold our breath for some time and then release it,we have to breath heavily after that.why?​

It happens because the level of carbon dioxide starts building up in our blood while we hold our breath. And when we actually start breathing, the demand for oxygen increases in our body due to which we breathe heavily. It later becomes normal.
