Solution :-

Let the required fractional number be x/1

Then, according to the question.

(x/1 × x/1) ÷ 1/x = 18 26/27

⇒ x² × x = 512/27

⇒ x³ = 512/27

⇒ x = ∛512/27

⇒ x = 8/3

Answer:

 x=\frac{8}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the fraction be \frac{x}{1}

Now we are given that we multiply a fraction by itself

\Rightarrow \frac{x}{1} \times \frac{x}{1}=\frac{x^2}{1}

Now we are given that this product is divided by the reciprocal of original fraction, so the obtained fraction is 18\frac{26}{27} =\frac{512}{27}

\Rightarrow \frac{\frac{x^2}{1}}{\frac{1}{x}}=\frac{512}{27}

Using calculator

\Rightarrow x=\frac{8}{3}

Thus the original fraction is  x=\frac{8}{3}
