if we say that sun is the only planet which is a star then is venus called the evening star?

no there are many huge stars in the universe the venus is called the evening star becoz it just looks like a star.

This planet is also described the daylight star when its orbital region increases causing it to develop glowing in the daylight rather than in the evening.
