If we stand on sand ,why our feet sinks into the surface

When we  stand on the sand, the area of surface of contact is lesser, hence, our body will exert more pressure on the sand.

Its due to the Pressure acting per unit area .If area of our feet os small then oue feet wil sink into the sand if it is larger then we can walk easily on sand Thats why camel walk easily on sand because of their large feet having large surface area.
