1) Probability of nos being diff
= 1-(probability that no.s are same)
= 1 - 1/6
= 5/6
2) similarly,
Reqd. Probability= 1 - 1/36
=35/36

hishamhany26: Explain (i) plz
hishamhany26: Can u explain plz
werain: when 2 dice are thrown, there are 36 total possible combinations. Out of these, 6 satisfy the condition that both nos are same. .'. P(same no.) = 6/36 = 1/6. .'. P(Different no.s) = 36-6/36 = 30/36 = 5/6.
werain: have you understood?
hishamhany26: Yes
