if we use magnetic compass instead of LED bulb in simple circuit what happens

if we use magnetic compass instead of bulb . when we pass the electric circuit from circuit then the compass needle will deflect on that side where the current ins moving or we also put galvonometer in extra to detect the current

the compass needle will move towards sides were current is moving.
