First of all we need to find the critical value of y, so we will differentiate y with respect to x.

y' = 3x^2 - 6x

3x(x - 2) = 0

so, x = either 2 or 0. These are the critical values.

when x = 2; y = 2

when x = 0; y = 6

Therefore the max and min values are (2,2) & (0,6).
