if u apply equal opposite force force due to acceleration and force applied by us cancel then object will stop

If we want to stop a moving object, then we must apply an equal force in the opposite direction of the direction of the motion of that object.
So that, they both (Force) could cancel out Each Other, hence making the object comes to rest.
