If weight is defined as the force exerted by the earth on the object, then my question is that, will my weight differ from 1st floor and the 20th floor?? When I am in the 20th floor then the distance between me and the earth will increase along with the increase in gravity right??

i think the acceleration due to gravity will negligibly increase so your weight will not show difference. i am saying that acceleration due to gravity is negligible because when we calculate "g" we take radius of the earth also, and i think the radius of the earth and the distance between the earth and the 20th floor will be roughly equal to the length of the radius from the fact that we take the distance between earth and any satellite as the radius of the earth therefore we can also take the distance between the earth and 20th floor as the radius of the earth. and thus your weight will not show any change since acceleration due to gravity will be considered as the same.

I will tell you a fact.. when you go inside earth your weight decreases and when you go above earth's Surface , then also your weight decreases. It means your weight is the most when you are on the surface of the earth or else near to that. It means force acting on you above earths surface is less or else we can say that the gravity acting on us is less. So, definitely the conclusion is that the more further you go from earths surface the less will be the effect of gravity no matter you go up or down into the earths's surface drilling. But here there is very little difference in height as compared to radius of earth. So, it will affect the gravity acting on it or your weight very negligibly. Negligibly also your weight will be more at 1st floor rather than at 20th floor.YEAH THERE WILL BE DECREASE IN GRAVITY AND INCREASE IN HEIGHT.Hope it helps...!
