r +d =10  (1)
d+r = 20   (2)
C+D =24  (3)
add (1) (2) (3)
2r+2c+2d =54
2(c+r+d) =54
c+R+d =54/2 = 27

Given:

IF weight of: CAT + RAT = 10KG DOG + RAT = 20 kg DOG + CAT = 24 kg

To Find:

what will be DOG+CAT+RAT=?

Solution:

Let us first substitute the words with some single letter to ease the calculation

now, let

CAT be c

RAT be r

DOG be d

Now we get 3 equations

c+r=10      -(1)

d+r=20     -(2)

d+c=24     -(3)

solving these equations by subtracting eq 1 with 2  we get

d-c=10      -(4)

now adding eq 3 and 4 we get

2d=34

d=17

so, r=3 and c=7

now,

DOG+CAT+RAT= d+c+r

= 17+3+7

=27

Hence, the value of DOG+CAT+RAT is equal to 27.
