Hi friend,

Wheat crop doesn't require a lot of water but needs relatively lower temperature. In kharif season, it rains heavily and temperature is relatively high. Therefore if wheat is sown in kharif season it will not grow properly and seedlings may even die due and adverse climatic conditions will not yield any crop.
