the width of rectangle be x m

so the length of rectangle will be x+2 m

Given, perimeter of rectangle=32 m

we know, perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+w)

32 = 2(x+2+x)

32 = 2(2x+2)

2x+2=16

x = 7

width of rectangle = x = 7 m

length of rectangle = x+2 = 9 m

area of rectangle = l × w

area of rectangle = 7 × 9

area of rectangle = 63 m² .
